All Vodka is not the same! Yes vodka is a colorless and flavorless spirit. But, the base ingredients and the water used to bring vodka to drinking proof provide character to the beverage. Our vodka is ultra smooth with a hint of sweetness. It is double-distilled and made from Braeside Farms estate potatoes. We combine just the right potato varieties with a bit of organic barley to make a drink so smoothing and exciting, it is perfect chilled and served in a cold glass.

Organic Single Malt Whiskey is an unpeated whiskey made in stills of our own design and construction. The batches are small. We mean really small. Look at the cask, stills and grain mill above. Our 15 gallon “nano” batches are brewed, fermented and distilled in quantities only a passionate distiller could love. The spirit is aged in specially selected bourbon barrels to bring out just the right combination of flavors. We make our whiskey using organic barley from our farm and local farms here in the Northwest.
Some other things to know about Braeside Farms Distillery single malt. Whiskey derives its name from the Gaelic word “water of life.” To us whiskey also is “food of life.” When making whiskey, quite a lot of “spent” grains are left over. For over 15 years we have raised pigs and chickens on “spent” grain. This diet combined with fruits and vegetables from our farm as well as ample pasture is great for them. It provides these lovely creatures all they want and need. What they don’t eat we compost and use to grow potatoes, sunroots and other crops. By using the waste products (or what we call co-products) from whiskey making we make the farm more sustainable.
